This drug is used for autoimmune diseases and cancer patients. It requires a multiple-hour infusion at a clinic. Usually, a high dose of steroid is included in the infusion (I believe so as to lower risk of infection). Each round of treatment usually involves two infusions, normally done a few weeks apart, and then this treatment is repeated every 6 or 12 months depending on the Dr’s recommendations. Blood tests may be required before the treatments to check that the drug will be safe to administer based on your current readings.
